Dr. Chukhlomin is currently Associate Professor and Academic Area Coordinator at SUNY Empire State College’s Center for Distance Learning and MBA. Born and raised in Russia, he earned his B.S. /M.A in Economic Cybernetics and Mathematical Economics from Novosibirsk State University and his PhD in Economics/International Political Economy from the Russian Academy of Sciences. During last 25 years, he has been teaching economics, business and management studies in Russia, then Australia and lately in the U.S.  While in Australia, he has been Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management and a Certified Practicing Marketer with the Australian Institute of Marketing.  Currently, he teaches International Business, Cross-Cultural Management, International Marketing, International Political Economy and International eLearning Skills for CDL and Scanning the Business Environment, Strategic Executive Leadership and Strategic Global Management for MBA. Dr. Chukhlomin has extensive professional experience in the field of marketing and management of higher education, including positions of International Programs Director, Chair, Academic Dean, and Vice-President of a major public university in Russia. He developed and supervised successful international projects in Australia, Central Asia, China, Eastern Europe and Russia.  His research interests include international distance learning, international marketing of education, cross-cultural conflicts, country-of-origin effects, branding, and global competencies. He is a SUNY Research Foundation’s expert on international online learning.
